How long will my order take to be shipped?

Every item on Outside The Box is handmade to order in our Coventry workshop. Estimated lead times are shown clearly on each product listing before purchase.

How long does delivery take after dispatch?

Once dispatched, most orders arrive within 1–3 working days depending on your location and the courier service used.

What courier do you use?

We use a range of trusted UK couriers depending on the size and weight of your order. Tracking details are provided once your order has been dispatched.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You’ll receive tracking information via email once your order leaves our workshop.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

Because every item is handmade to order, cancellations or changes must be requested wihin 24 hours of purchase. Once production has started, changes may not always be possible.

What wood & finishes do you use?

We primarily use sustainably sourced Scandinavian redwood pine, selected for its strength, character, and durability. All wax finishes are applied by hand in our workshop.

Will my item look exactly like the photos?

Not exactly — and that’s part of the charm of real wood. Grain patterns, knots, colour variation, sap pockets, and other natural characteristics make every piece unique.

How sturdy is the furniture?

Our furniture is designed to be solid, durable, and built to last. We use thick solid wood tops and heavy-duty fixings throughout.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of standard sizes across our collections. Product dimensions are listed clearly on each listing.

Can you make me a bespoke item?

Yes. Bespoke work is a huge part of what we do. If you need a custom size or something more specific, contact us and we’ll make it happen.

What is your returns policy?

Because all of our furniture is handmade to order in custom sizes and finishes, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for unwanted items once an order has been placed. However, if your item arrives faulty or damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue. We’ll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund where appropriate, with any refunds issued back to the original payment method.

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. We stand behind the quality of our work. Our desks and monitor stands come with a 10-year structural guarantee, while our console tables and shelves are covered by a lifetime structural guarantee. This covers manufacturing defects, major timber movement affecting function, and structural failures under normal indoor use. The guarantee does not cover misuse, neglect, prolonged moisture exposure, cosmetic wear, dents, surface marks, or the natural fading of the wax finish over time, which can be refreshed using Briwax.
